Song Of The Day: "Teenage Kicks" by LORE

Hey everyone!

The wonderful LORE have sent in their latest track for us and we are in for a real treat.
It is soothing and soulful.

Today's song can really help you to relax and it is beautifully gentle and also shows originality.

LORE were initially a three piece but have now added a string section; so the full band consists of:
Carolann Carlile (vocals)
Luke McCloskey (guitar)
Raymond Okane (piano)
Rebecca Hall (violin, vocals)
Cliodhna McAteer (cello, vocals)

It's been a busy year for the Derry, Ireland based Indie-Folk-Pop band, as they have been writing new songs, working on their new sound with the additional string section. They've also managed to find time to support Cara Dillon and one of our favourite Irish men, Ciaran Lavery.

"Teenage Kicks" was released on March 11th and it is an exquisite look on a classic punk song, originally performed by The Undertones.
LORE bring a real intimacy to the track which hasn't been done before. Their soft and weaving harmonies combined with the strings, create a peaceful tone in the song.

The piano builds on where the strings started giving the song extra depth. The gentle guitar plucking helps us to sink into its warm embrace.

LORE have tackled a difficult task with ease in covering "Teenage Kicks", taking a legendary song and putting their own unique twist on it.

Their folk style is reflected in the song's arrangement and the pure delivery is a wonder to listen to.
We love this version and we know you will to!
